Soledad Christmas Celebration 2017
Celebration Day Events, Saturday Dec. 2nd
Saturday, Dec. 2nd is Celebration Day, including the 32nd annual parade. Parade organizers are always looking for more participants. They would love to see floats, corporate/organization mascots (Pink Panther, anyone?), cars with your organization's officers on board - you get the idea. All "show-offs" are welcome.
The Snow Queen and King Evening Wear and Speech Competition begins at 2 PM. This takes place at Liberty Chapel on Kidder St. Interested friends and family of contestants are welcome to attend.
At 2 PM, the Front Street area opens up with a bounce house and other games, plus entertainment, music, food and craft vendors.
The parade is scheduled to start at 5, beginning at West and Monterey and proceeding down West to Front, then down Front to Kidder. At parade's end, the winners of the Snow Queen and King contests are announced, and the coronations take place. Get your picture taken with Santa, and enjoy more entertainment until 8 PM. That's it - see you next year!
